Swipe Right or Left: "The Ghosted Candidate"
Let me tell you about the time I got ghosted. This candidate? Perfect on paper, nailed every interview… and then they just vanished. No emails, no messages, no thanks-but-no-thanks.
Turns out, they took another offer at double the salary. (Okay, I get it. But still!!)
Takeaway: Ghosting burns bridges fast. If plans change, all it takes is a quick, “Thanks, but I’ve decided to go in another direction.”
And yes… this goes both ways, recruiters need to stop ghosting candidates, too.
Cupid’s Bow – Aim True 🏹
For Companies:
If candidates keep ghosting you, ask yourself: Does your hiring process feel like a marathon? Keep it short.. two-three rounds max.
You’re hiring talent, not casting for a reality show.
For Job Seekers:
Want your resume to pop? Ditch the “To Whom It May Concern” and lead with a killer summary.
No one wants to dig through fluff… get to the good stuff, fast.
Hot Jobs – Get Hitched
Charles Joseph Staffing is currently hiring:
Account Executive – Know the difference between a balance sheet and a burrito, and lowkey obsessed with start-ups? This fintech company is looking for someone who can close deals faster than you can say “annual recurring revenue.” Bonus points if you can sell accounting software without boring everyone to tears.

Trending Now: Ghosting is Everywhere 👻
Ghosting isn’t just a candidate problem. It’s happening on both sides, and it’s messy. Nearly half of job seekers have experienced ghosting from companies, with recruiters going silent mid-process or after interviews.
And candidates? Many disappear because the process drags on too long or communication gets sloppy.
Ghosting isn’t just bad manners… it’s bad business. Job seekers won’t wait, and companies risk wrecking their reputation by leaving candidates hanging. If we all kept communication clean and quick, ghosting wouldn’t even be a thing.
Moral of the story? Don’t ghost.
Cupid’s Tough Love
Dear Hiring Managers,
You’re not Beyoncé. Stop dragging candidates through endless interviews like they’re auditioning for Coachella. A drawn-out process doesn’t make you look thorough… it makes you look slow.
In this market, top talent moves fast. If you don’t? They’ll be gone faster than you can say, “We’ll circle back.”
Love,
Corporate Cupid 💘

Til then, stay fabulous and hire smart.
XOXO,
Charles AKA Corporate Cupid 💘
